To keep our databases running at peak performance, we organise our data to prioritise the performance for active learners. In order to correctly identify learners that are active and learners that are inactive, we will automatically log out any learner who has been inactive for 4 hours or more. If you would like to remain logged in for longer, you can check the “keep me logged in for 2 weeks” checkbox on the login page before logging in.

Aside from allowing WaniKani to correctly store data for active learners, logging out inactive learners is a good security practice especially when it comes to using shared or public computers.
